Crazy Pizza

DESCRIPTION

Crazy pizza is a group developed project inspired by the game 'Crazy Taxi'. The group was split into designers, animators, artists and technical designers. I was the technical designer responsible for the UI / UX and the objective system within the game. Examples are the main menu, in-game UI and the end game screen. Furthermore, I created the functionality of picking up pizzas and delivering them around the level. The objective is to deliver as many pizzas as possible before the timer runs out. Collecting pizza's gives more time to the player.

Objective System (Picking up and delivering pizzas)

I was tasked with creating the objective system within this collaborative game. Players drive to one of two collection points, where they will be given pizzas to deliver. Delivery locations would then spawn at predetermined locations across the world, players could deliver a pizza by either driving into the delivery location or using the pizza throwing system for higher up locations. 

UI / UX

I was also responsible for the UI and UX within the game, this includes:

  • The main menu

  • In-game UI

  • Screen space UI

  • Pause screen 

  • Game over menu

I created systems that updated the in-game timer, player score and money. In addition, the meter system which shows the player how far away they are from a pickup point or delivery. The menu navigation controls and animations were also created by myself.
